Javea is one of the most attractive and popular towns on the Costa Blanca and consists of three areas, the old port of Javea, the old town of javea and the Arenal Beach. They are each within 2 kms of one another.
The apartment is situated in The Old Port with quaint old fishing port and a beautiful marina. There is still a thriving and flourishing fishing fleet and fish market. A modern Church dedicated to the fishermen which resembles the inside of an upturned boat. A lovely promenade separating the beach and sea from the many restaurants and bars. Inside the pot there are lots of pretty streets with more restaurants, bars and a wide variety of quality shops.
The Old Town of Javea is medieval and is set in a hillside with lots of quaint, narrow streets, small plazas, shops and restaurants. It is set back inland and overlooks the sea and orange groves. In days gone by it gave the inhabitants plenty of time to prepare for invading pirates or marauders. The centre of the old town is dominated by the wonderful old San Bartolome church, mostly dating back to the 16th century. There is also as well visited and popular covered market next to the Church. There is also a weekly outdoor market.
The most lively part of Javea is El Arenal and is located about 2 kms South at the end of a pretty horseshoe bay. It has a fine, sandy beach and is well served by many shops, bars and restaurants.
