the natural rocky sea frontage is a less crowded place to sunbathe and swim, and is great for pottering about in the rock pools, snorkelling, scuba diving and fishing.
A short walk away is the Port of Javea, with its fishing boats, small restaurants and outdoor cafes on the promenade.
A short walk in the other direction brings you to the Javea Arenal, popular with families with young children as they are easily supervised on the beach from the small bars lining the sanded and organised play area.
The Montgo National Park is a short drive, and the delights of Benidorm are but a short trip up the motorway.
