This fantastic holiday rental is a superb converted Oast House set in a wonderfully peaceful and rural location called 'The Firehills'part of the Hastings Country park. This holiday rental is surrounded by National Trust properties - with 500 acres of cliff walks, unspoiled wooded countryside and magnificent coastal views. An ideal holiday rental for bird watchers or for those who just wish to enjoy the beach which is 3 minutes drive and a 10-15 minute walk across the countryside.
The shingle beach is uncrowded and safe for swimming. Fairlight is situated 5 miles from the ancient towns of Rye, Hastings and Battle - all offering a wealth of interesting places to visit, explore or enjoy the local food in the many pubs and restaurants.
The Oast House is located within the grounds of the owners' ancient and beautifully restored farmhouse dating from the 1400s with later additions.
At this holiday rental the owners have horses and dogs plus sheep in the adjoining fields. There are glorious views from the upper windows over the surrounding grounds and valley with clear views of the sea in two locations, plus many footpaths leading from the property across the valley to the cliffs and beach.
A select villa rental with a long drive leading to the property, with ample parking available for more than one car.
The entrance to this holiday home leads directly into the very spacious, bright and modern living area. Superb limestone flooring plus rugs throughout this area with underfloor heating to one end, comfortably furnished with three large settees and occasional tables.
There is a colour TV, SKY, DVD, video player, CD music centre and digital radio.
Additional lighting, plus a compact sun-room/conservatory area off a delightful 'quiet' area furnished with chairs and coffee table.
There is a downstairs WC with washbasin - also accessed off the living area. To one end of this room lies the magnificent kitchen, comprising of a large central granite topped island with stools and storage drawers underneath.
There is a range of floor cupboards with granite worktop, a large electric 'range' style cooker with ceramic hobs and hotplates and two double ovens/grills, large Amercian style fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, automatic washing machine and wall dresser containing all the crockery and cooking utensils required.
High vaulted ceilings with Velux windows and double glazed windows to all aspects provide excellent light and a bright and airy feel. Down two steps is located a cupboard housing the tumble dryer with adjacent French doors leading out onto the superb decked area and large garden.
To the other end of the lounge is a storage cupboard with all cleaning materials, iron and board, and clothes hooks.
Located in the roundel to this end of the living area is a beautifully furnished dining room with long oak table, 8 chairs and dresser.
There are two staircases in this superb property - one leading from the rear of the living area and one leading from the hall at the far/rear of the kitchen.
Upstairs are located the bedrooms and family bathroom - all tastefully carpeted and furnished in creams with beige carpeting. To one end, located in the roundel is a super King size bed, antique dressing table with mirror, wardrobe with shelving, bedside tables with lamps, and colour television with remote control.
The beautiful bathroom with cushion flooring offers a pea-shaped bath with fixed shower over, washbasin with shaver point, mirror, WC and heated towel rail.
The central dual aspect bedroom has an Edwardian super King-size bed, antique dressing table with mirror, fitted wardrobe, bedside tables with lamps, chest of drawers and colour television with remote control and superb views to the rear garden and beyond.
A small hallway leads from this bedroom into the master bedroom, offering a another super King size Edwardian bed - there is low headroom over this bed, bedside tables with lamps, fitted wardrobe, chest of drawers, full length mirror and wall mounted colour television with remote control. This bedroom has an en-suite shower room with large shower, WC, washbasin, shaver point and heated towel rail. Down two steps from this master bedroom is a delightful landing/seating area which enjoys wonderful views over the rear garden towards the rolling valleys and fields.
The second staircase leads from here down to the ground floor, side house door and kitchen.
To the rear of the Oast is a large decked area, plus a covered seating area, garden furniture, barbecue, patio heater, pots of plants and at the far end a super Hot Tub which will comfortably accommodate 6-7 people.
The well stocked secluded garden with wonderful views and outstanding sunsets is mainly laid to lawn with a wonderful African table and chairs with thatched roof.
Bed linen is provided, but please bring your own towels.
